Went to vet today. "Vase" (Waylon) got an A+. He was the quite popular with the staff!! Got lots of treats and was told he was the "joy" of the day. The asst. who was around with old ringo and in the room when we put Ringo down was the one to greet Waylon, she gave me a big hug and had tears in her eyes telling me how happy she was to see the pup in our family. Well our Waylon is doing great. He is so handsome. Turning brown across his crown but keeping his black mask. He has kept his "vase" marking which is so near to my heart. 5/09
Waylon is a smart boy for certain! He is doing so well on his potty training.Waylon is getting along so well with our 7 year old dog, Cowboy. They play and play. Cowboy has a new life of play, and I feel so happy for him. That old dog has even learned some new tricks! Peer pressure at work. Love it!
Waylon is an aggressive little guy. I love his spunk. He is quick to learn who leads the pack but anxious to make sure we have it right-so he tests. What a great dog he is, Bonnie. I wish I could send every picture of him playing with our daughter, the kids at summer camp, and his buddy Cowboy. Everything with our puppy is just as I hoped. Just so in love with Waylon I can't stop raving about him! Be proud of this guy...he is a great looking and smart dog!! 6/09
In Waylon's 5th month.....my thoughts about him are usually good...smile! Boy- this is one headstrong beast. He is super dominant and smart...if smart is Basset code for obstinate. He makes me laugh as much as he frustrates me with his Bassettnese. Right now we are learning how long I can walk at 5ish a.m. to wear Waylon's little hiney out before I go to work. Then he gets to enjoy the early evening heat for another 15-30 minute walk...this is just to keep the beast (I say in the most loving way! I stole nickname from a book you recommended) somewhat tame. My sweet Cowboy has learned a new facial expression...exasperation. Waylon is a whoppin 29 lbs. and looks super trim, he is burning his calories. He is into every little thing...twice. He thinks my 11 yr. old cat is the most incredible animal and once he catches scent is relentless. I do not know when she is going to forgive me...take out stock in Chicken of the Sea! (see photo above of him staring out the front door at our cat, Capital.
As of days ago, she is actually coming in the house and laying on the living room floor...she is obviously taunting him and I fear for his...nose!! So funny-- Until the vet bills come.) My fav. thing is, when we go on our walks he catches scents, and I can see and hear him tracking. His instinct is awesome to witness. Aug. '09

Stoli is doing wonderful! He is the best dog ever! We love him so much and couldn't be happier. He is a big boy just like you thought he'd be. He's just precious. One of Mike's friend's saw Stoli and just fell in love. We told him you were the best place to get a Basset.

Sebastian has the best personality and is just a joy to be around and he steals the show where ever he is thank you for providing us with such a special boy. Sebastian is such a good dog and is clearly the joy of my life. I can't wait to get home in the evening to just hang out with him and of course we have mommy and Seabass time every morning. Chad says I spoil him but oh well I can live with that...

Lola and Roxie are both adorable. They talk to each other in a "bark/dogtalk" language. We always wonder what they are saying to each other. Each night they get on the sofa with us and watch TV. They know several commands--sit, wait, stay and come and tell us when they need to go outside and do their business. We are very proud of that (@4 mos. old). Roxie is really turning into the typical hard-headed hound. Lola wants to please and is so obedient. Roxie wants to lazy around and sleep all day, But Lola still "hounds" her. They have such distinct, different personalities. They are both wonderful and we enjoy them so. (@8 months old). The girls continue to grow and gain weight. They are really "partners in crime" when left alone outside. They have figured out how to topple over the big garbage can and play in the trash this week. There is never a dull moment. (@ 14 months old). .
Right now all are snoring-and I do mean snoring loudly-as they sleep here in the study. Roxie doesn't wear a collar anymore. She has so many wrinkles, folds, and loose neck skin that any collar irritates her throat area. When we walk them around our neighborhood she sits and waits so graciously while we put her collar on. You can tell how much we love them-they have us wrapped around their little paws!! ( @age 3 years).

Lola and Roxie are sisters/littermates from our very first Blessed Bassets litter. Their parents are Fred and Zoee and they were born 11/04. Our Tess is their sister. All are BIG girls !!
Gus is beginning his stubborn stage but hes so cute it's ok. He loves the grass and being out. He sleeps all night and thats wonderful. Thank you so much for our baby.Gus has had his first vet visit and is 100% pure basset and health as a horse (and eating like one I might add). He is virtually house trained and growing like a weed. He sleeps from 10 PM to 7 or 8 AM at last, so life is coming back to normal for Dottie and I. He is a joy to have and we look forward to many years loving him and he us. Thanks for being the loving and caring breeder that gives a good name to the profession. We could not be happier with our new family member. (@ 8 weeks). Gus is doing great aside from losing his baby teeth. Growing like a weed (39 lbs) and happy as any puppy we've had. Don't know how we could ever be without him. He has a great sense of smell and is happiest when he's tracking on of our frequent unwanted visitors (possums, armadillos and raccoons). (@ 4mos.). Gus and Dottie E., Magnolia, Tx. Marigold is truly wonderful ...she's keeping me very active as I'm trying to entertain and potty train her which seems like a full time job. She's by far the most affectionate basset I've had...maybe it has something to do with you and Wilma.Anyway, she has toys and bones and stuff all over and seems like a really happy puppy. Everyone who sees her falls in love and she's certainly the star of the neighborhood (probably because I'm outside all the time trying to get her to pee and poop.) So many times I've looked at Marigold and seen Wilma...something about their eyes. Thanks again for such a beautiful basset. (@ 4 mos.). Needless to say she is one spoiled rotten dog. Louis takes wonderful care of her and all the others but I'm afraid they (especially Marigold) run the show. She's on the chair while we're on the floor kind of spoiled. Marigold is the most beautiful basset I've ever had by far and I've gotten so much pleasure and laughter from all her antics.I'm always more than ready to come home to her after a long day.(@10 mos.) Marigold is indeed a big girl at 16 months.Of course she's beautiful in all ways to me even though she's still a handful and stubborn as they all are. I think Louis is the one who has spoiled her as he's been her main caregiver.Everyone in the neighborhood knows Marigold and she gets enough belly rubs to last a lifetime. (@ 16mos.)

Marigold Christmas 2008
I don't know how you got the wonderful photos of your "charmers" but it took me all day and a bag of gummy worms to get these good photos of Marigold. Merry Christmas and God bless you and your family.

Cooper- he's been growing like a weed, it's kind of sad. He's been doing really well- he's a very happy boy...and he loves food! He will do anything for a treat (he already goes into his cage when we tell him to all by his self) so he should be easy to train he's a very quick learner- I'm guessing his parents were too! (@4 mos.) He's such a sweet boy- he loves attention, especially cuddling and sitting on laps- but most puppies are like that...Cooper will probably want to be a 60lb lap dog haha it seems the big ones are always like that. (@ 5 mos.) I finally got Cooper's Halloween pics uploaded- he was a detective. Cooper loved Halloween, and he wore his costume all night- he loves anything that gets him attention. Cooper's doing really well- we took him to the vet a few weeks ago and he weighs 57lbs! He's still a happy boy he "dances" when we get home or someone comes over. I think Cooper is starting to look a lot like his dad. (@ 9 mos) (Cooper is even bigger now as a full grown Basset, he came to visit his Mom and Dad recently). Kayla K., Flower Mound, Tx.
Cooper is the son of Angel and Gabriel born 12/06.
Cooper is doing just great, hes just the sweetest boy. We took him to the vet for his check up the other week, and he actually hit 70 lbs! We watch what we feed him, so its not fat, hes just one big boy, but he doesnt realize it...he still sits in your lap! May 2009
Giles is a beautiful dog. Timmy loves Giles. Judy W., Duncanville, Tx.
Giles is the son of Annabelle and Fred born 5/07.
Savannah did very well at the vet even in the waiting room she could not help but love on the people who were waiting with us. The Doctor that gave her the physical exam told us that she was extremely well taken care of and that the people we got her from were " extremely thorough and meticulous" concerning the health of the puppy. We were very happy to learn that her health could not be any better, and she is free of any internal parasites. The Doctor mentioned several times that her condition was excellent, and that we were lucky to have a breeder that was so particular about the health of her dogs. Rachel noticed that the white spot on her head makes a white heart. (@ 9 weeks old).
We wanted to tell you how Savannah is doing. We took her to the dog show in Houston two weekends ago and she did great. She was so excited to meet other dogs. We got so many comments about how gorgeous she is. She is probably close or over 25 pounds and is almost able to jump on the couch. She is pretty much potty trained and is showing us just how smart she is. When we walk her in the evening, we play hide and seek with her to stimulate her tracking abilities. She has also learned how to open the cabinet where her food is and she knows what different noises and objects mean. Whenever she sees or hears the keys, she knows someone is leaving and she knows what her seatbelt is also. She has now had all her shots and is doing great. (@ 4 mos. old). Tim and Rachel, Nacagdoches, Tx.
Savannah is great. She is about 53 pounds and loves other dogs. She always wants to play with any dog we pass or she sees out the window. She gets along great with our new bird. She is so attached to Tim and me; whenever we let her off her leash to run she will always stop a ways away and look back like she is waiting for us to catch up. We have actually been thinking of getting another dog and would love another basset hound. We both keep thinking about how enjoyable another basset would be and we think Savannah would be very happy with a little brother or sister.

Here are some pictures of Barney as he turns 9 months old (he's from your September 19 2007 litter). He is a wonderful dog who is very loving and very fun. He loves to play fetch, but he'd rather you chase him once he brings the toy back to you. He's probably about 45 lbs now, but as you can see, he hasn't grown into his paws yet. We think he looks a lot like his dad. (top right @9mos.)
Here are a couple of pictures of Barney on a typical day at 11 months old. He is a playful and feisty young boy that loves to get into a little trouble now and then. We wouldn't have it any other way. He loves to play with just about anything, here he is snacking on a box. The other picture shows him on the stairs collecting hug tolls from all that pass.We could not be happier with Barney and have to resist the urge to drive to Forney to adopt another Blessed Bassett. Our 10 year old bassett, Rusty has also developed an affection for Barney and is much more playful since his arrival. Don't be surprised to see us on your doorstep down the road so that Barney can meet his extended family (bottom photos @ 11mos. old) John and Susan V., Flower Mound, Tx.

Greg looked out the window and saw Roxie napping with Jethro - using his butt for a pillow. Too cute! (Roxie @1 1/2 yrs. old with Jethro) We have a cat now and Roxie loves him. They wrestle together all the time and it is hilarious! I've attached pictures puppy/kitty wrestling matches. They even take naps together. It is so cute! (@ age 3 yrs.).
I think Roxie enjoys being the only basset in this household and therefore the cutest dog in the house (of course). Here is another picture of Roxie with her best friend, Wasabi. If you ever have anyone question whether a Basset Hound can get along with a cat, this picture says it all. Roxie enjoying the daffodils (@age 3 1/2)

Hi Bonnie. This is Corey and I bought a Basset from you back in Feb '06. I named her Adi and she is the greatest investment I have made. If there such a thing as a "Soul Dog" She is it. Everyone who meets Adi loves her from the word go. She is sweet, loving and playful. She is my shadow who takes every step I take. I took her for her one year check up and she weighed 38 pounds and wazs in great health.. Here are some pics of her. Feel free to add them on your site. I want everyone to see what a Basset should be.
Thanks again for my puppy. Corey W., Mesquite, Tx.

We are doing well, Onslow was 61lbs about a month ago so there's no telling what he weights now ! He has settled down a lot, loves to travel in the car, but still will not stop eating my plants ! ah well, good job he's very cute.
He now weights more than Flash our 3 year old, who is a much more dainty fellow. They get on really well, if they aren't talking to each other their snuggling up, and their favorite games are keep away, chase and of course tug of war. He is very entertaining and as you predicted a big old slug butt, any opportunity and he's trying to get in an armchair which I'm sure he thinks is his !
